Top 10 at the Prague Golf Challenge

"I'm very happy about this second place and my reaction to the two missed cuts," commented Joel Girrbach on the big success in the Czech Republic. The 65 (-7) was the basis for second place. "In the second round, I had to fight a bit more and save many Par's," said Girrbach to the 70-card.

The weekend brought him another eight (!) birdies, each a double bogey on the front and back nines prevented an even better result than the 69 card. Nevertheless, he remained in the title race until the end. The five under par on Sunday was his second best result of the tournament. In the end he had to be defeated at -17 only one stroke by the Englishman Ben Stow.

"The bogey on the 18 of course hurts a lot. I gave everything and then it's hard to stop, "says Girrbach right after the tournament. Despite the missed play-off he was very satisfied with his "wedge game and putting".

"This second rank will certainly strengthen my self-confidence for the next tournaments."
