European Tour: Joel Girrbach at BMW International Open in the prize money

Based on his 2018 Challenge Tour Order of Merit ranking, Joel Girrbach made it into the field of the European Tour's BMW International Open in Munich. With opening rounds of 70 and 71, the Swiss survived the cut. After a solid 72 round on "moving day", Girrbach finnished with a 74 round on Sunday, finishing on 53rd place.

Challenge Tour: Raphaël de Sousa in the prize money

One week after the Swiss Challenge, the Challenge Tour stopped in Calais (France). The only Swiss PGA representative in the field, Raphaël de Sousa, made it into the weekend and ranked 41st with rounds of 73/69/73/73 (total: +4).

Last week, the Challenge Tour stopped in Spain, where the Andalucia Costa del Sol Match Play played a format that is attractive to visitors. Three Swiss PGA pros competed, however only neo-professional Jeremy Freiburghaus managed to get into the 9-hole-matchplay rounds. Freiburghaus was closely defeated at the first extra hole by the French Jérôme Lando Casanova.

Staysure Tour: Bossy 13th in Italy

The European season opener of the Staysure Tour took place in late May / early June at the Senior Italian Open at Villaverde Resort, just outside Udine. André Bossert positioned himself in the top two on the first two days, however with a par round on the final day he ultimately fell back to T13.

A week later at the Arras Open Senior Hauts de France in northeastern France, Swiss PGA member Paul Wesselingh scored 215 (-1 / for three laps) and placed 21st. André Bossert needed one more stroke and finished 24th.

Alps Tour: Mathias Eggenberger 20th in Italy

Arthur Ameil-Planchin was the only Swiss at the beginning of the month at the Open St François to Guadeloupe. The tournament took place in the same week as the Swiss Challenge. The French-Swiss dual citizen qualified for the final round with rounds of 74 and 68, finishing in 36th place with a total score of 217 (+4).

A week later at the Acaya Open Dailies in Lecce (Italy), the Swiss PGA was represented with three players. Only Mathias Eggenberger survived the cut. After rounds of 70 and 73, Eggenberger delivered on the final day with a good 68 round, his best score pushing him to 20th place.

At last week's Open at the Mirabelle d'Or in Metz (France), there have been three Swiss PGA Pros in the field - two made the cut into the final round. On Sunday, Mathias Eggenberger delivered seven birdies, but also had to accept three bogeys and finally classified as best Swiss PGA representative in 15th place (71/68/67 strokes); Marc Dobias (69/768/77), however, fell back to rank 39 on the final day.

Pro Golf Tour: Benjamin Rusch 13th in the Czech Republic

Benjamin Rusch was "warming up" for the Swiss Challenge during the first days of June on the Pro Golf Tour in Germany: At the Kuhn Mass Production Open in the GC Glashofen Neusass near Walldürn (Baden-Württemberg), he place 15th with rounds of 70/75 72. With Jeremy Freiburghaus (77/67/74 - 24th place), another Swiss made it into the prize money.

Last week at the Czech Classic in Brno and in the golf resort Kaskada, Benjamin Rusch was once again the best Swiss: With rounds of 75 and 72, he placed 13th. With two rounds of 77 and 76 Yann Pfeiffer placed 43rd. The tournament had to be shortened to two rounds due to a storm.

LETAS: Caroline Rominger best Swiss in Lavaux

The third "home game" for the Swiss LETAS pros was the Lavaux Ladies Championship. The Engadine Caroline Rominger led the field on Lake Geneva after two days together with two other players, but on final day she fell back to the T7 remaining the best-ranked Swiss. Like Rominger, the Ticino Anaïs Maggetti place 35th and also made it into the prize money.

A week later at the Ladies Finnish Open in Lahti, Caroline Rominger once more was the best ranking Swiss. She placed 13th with rounds of 76/73/68 with Anaïs Maggetti (73/75/76 - 33rd) and Melanie Mätzler (75/77/76 - 47th) also in the prize money. One week later at the Skafto Open in Sweden, Mätzler qualified as the only Swiss for the final round when she dropped back to 55th.

Last week, the Montauban Ladies Open was played in France: out of the four Swiss women, only Clara Pietri survived the cut (+10) and was ranked 41st with rounds of 76/78/72.

Symetra Tour: Kim Métraux with strong finish

The Four Winds Invitational was Kim Métraux's fourth tournament on the Symetra Tour. With rounds of 71/74/70, the 24-year-old Swiss placed T16. In the final round, Métraux was still two over par at halftime, thanks to a great finish - five birdies in six holes - she turned the result in the desired direction.
