Alfa Romeo Swiss PGA Matchplay Championship 2019

The Swiss PGA Matchplay Championship will take place from Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th September 2019 at Golfpark Zürichsee and will be supported for the first time and exclusively by the Swiss PGA Premium Partner Alfa Romeo as title sponsor. The three-day championship event opens on Monday with the Alfa Romeo Swiss PGA ProAm tournament. On the two following days, the professional golfers in Switzerland ranked highest in the annual Swiss PGA Order of Merit compete in the categories men and seniors on the newly developed 18-hole course at Golfpark Zürichsee.

The matchplay format offers interested spectators an exciting golfing experience. Two players play in direct comparison hole by hole against each other. The championship titles are selected by eighth, quarter, half and final competitions. The eighth and quarter-finals will be held on Tuesday 24th September and the semi-final and final rounds on Wednesday 25th September. The exact starting times will be published on the Swiss PGA website.

Spectators are welcome on both days. Admission is free.

In addition to the defending champion Marc Dobias, internationally experienced tour professionals such as Luca Galliano and Yann Pfeiffer, as well as neo-professionals such as Jeremy Freiburghaus and Perry Cohen, will compete for the title. Last year's finalist Franco Li Puma is one of the top title contenders in the Senior's category.
