Philip Golding, Winner Swiss Seniors Open 2017
The Englishman Philip Golding, whose last victory came in 2014 at the French Riviera Masters, started the final day four shots behind overnight leader Mark Mouland but quickly raced up the leaderboard with three consecutive birdies from the second hole to the fourth hole.
The 54 year old, who won the HNA Open de France in 2003, made further gains on the tenth, 11th and 12th holes and then birdied the 16th to move to 15 under par, which gave him a one-shot lead over former Senior Major Champion Mark McNulty.
In a share of third place were Welshman Mark Mouland and American pair Clark Dennis and Tim Thelen on 13 under par. Paul Wesselingh, winner of the Swiss Seniors Open in 2013, finished sixth a shot further back.
Former Ryder Cup player Jarmo Sandelin carded the lowest round of the day, an eight under par 62, as he finished seventh, his best result since joining the Senior Tour after turning 50 in May.

Swiss PGA member Paul Wesselingh, winner of the Swiss Seniors Open in 2013, finished sixth with a very consistent and strong performance throughout the tournament.

With a final birdie on hole 18, André Bossert finished the home tournament in Bad Ragaz. "At last, the putts went better today." Already on the first hole he succeeded an "easy birdie" from one meter.
"I am glad that it was still a big boost, maybe the pressure in the first two rounds was too big. I finally wanted to win here," says Bossy after the tournament.
"I had invested a lot in the preparation for the season, and if it does not work out at all, there is always the danger of being a little unsettled," said the Zurich, who won his European Senior Tour title in Woburn last September.
Bossert enjoyed his strong performance on Sunday. As he entered the terrace of the clubhouse, the audience received him with a warm, long-lasting applause. Bossy does not have much time to enjoy. Right after Bad Ragaz, he plays the Winston Open in German Vorbeck. After a one-week break, the season's highlight will be the Senior British Open.
