The first Swiss PGA Tour 2020 event was played at Golfclub Markgräflerland in Kandern near Basel. With the course playing fair, the 39 players recorded an impressive 10 eagles and 231 birdies over the two rounds.

The Men's category saw a thrilling finish. The overnight leader and past winner James Johnson (66-69) was able to force a playoff with a long birdie putt at the last. He and 25-year-old Philippe Weppernig (69-66), who played the last nine in 30 (-5!), went to the first playoff hole where an up and down was good enough for Weppernig to secure his first victory on the Swiss PGA Tour. Third place went to Corsin Caviezel.

The winner of the Seniors category is 51-year-old Harald Rohrbach with a solid 4 under par and a total of 140 strokes (70-70), two strokes ahead of Vivian Ross.

Well done to all Swiss PGA Pros for an excellent event played in great spirit and many thanks to our Hosting Partner Golfclub Markgräflerland and its members!
