Swiss Challenge and Swiss Challenge Juniors Day 2018

From May 31 to June 3, the Swiss PGA players will compete at the Swiss Challenge 2018 at Golfclub Sempachersee and fight for a total prize money of Euro 180,000 and the potential promotion to the European Tour level.

Swiss PGA Playing Professionals lead by Joel Girrbach and Marco Iten

After his historic victory at the Swiss Challenge 2017, Joel Girrbach has started the new season promisingly. At his first European Tour Event 2018 in Australia, he made the cut and secured the shared eighth place at the Open de Portugal.

Marco Iten, the newcomer of the year 2017, brings a breath of fresh air to the Swiss PGA top players. In December he reached the shared 30th final place at the Joburg Open of the European Tour and last weekend he finished T10 at the Czech Challenge 2018.

The audience is also looking forward to Mathias Eggenberger, who started as a professional in 2017. In 2014, it was Mathias Eggenberger taking a sensational 3rd place.

Other Swiss professionals at the start include Luca Galliano, Zeno Felder, Arthur Ameil-Plancin, Raphael de Sousa, Marc Dobias, Jean-Luc Burnier, Roberto Francioni, Martin Rominger and Andrea Gurini.

The five nominated amateurs are Jeremy Freiburghaus, Perry Cohen, Alessandro Noseda, Robert Foley and Neal Woernhard.

Swiss Challenge Juniors Day 2018

The Swiss Challenge Juniors Day will take place on Saturday, 2 June 2018. Together with the ASG, the Swiss PGA is organizing the third edition of the event. Almost 100 junior golf players will have the unique opportunity to show their driving, putting and chipping skills and to watch the professional tour players on the course.
